Geeks and junk

Was watching some "Enterprise" episodes at a friend's house.

Now, while I admit that "Enterprise" is doing a surprisingly good job at getting the bad taste "Voyager" left out of my mouth, it's still got it's annoying points.

Two of them to be precise. On the ears of their vulcan character.

Much like Voyager's 37 of D......errr, 7 of 9, this character seems to provide only one purpose - masterbation fantasies for all those non-social trek fans that are used to being ignored and rejected by members of whatever gender they prefer. Other than clevage and nippage, I fail to see what this character has to offer.

Klez and Idiots don't mix....

Well, the Klez virus claimed a rather amusing victim. Namely one of my problem children at work. Who's home PC was infected with Klez.

Now, Klez spoofs the "from:" line in an email, so it grabs whatever's in the Windows Address Book and uses that. It then sends itself out to the rest of that list, along with a file grabbed from random off the drive of the infected PC.

Well, the address it spoofed was one of our senior researchers. The address it sent out to was our interal email list. The document it included was a very long and detailed S&M fantasy, with names, about her and her boyfriend.............

Oops. And again I say, oops.

Managed to remove the email sent to us from the email lists on the server before it got to 2/3 of the machines in the lab. Which left 1/3. Including the researcher, who left very red-faced.

Oops. Karma in action?
