Okay, that was a Harry Potter moment
Was driving back from SB, and stopped at the Poway Wal*Mart to get some things. It was about 7:30pm.
When I came back, I found an owl sitting on my car. At first I thought it was a stuffed animal someone had accidently left, but then it moved it's head and hooted.
So I stood there and looked at it, and it looked at me. I used my clicker to unlock my car and disarm the alarm, provoking a flap of the wings and another hoot. Then it went back to looking at me.
I couldn't resist, I finally said "look, if you're delivering mail, either you've got the wrong person, you need to give me the letter, or you need to drop it off at my house." It hooted again and flew off into the night.
I'm amused.
