Meh

Ramen failure.

While visiting [livejournal.com profile] blackflag669, I found a new version of Mi Goreng ramen. "Mama" brand Mi Goreng, from Thailand. After the Malayian Mi Goreng, and the Indonesian Indomie, I was curious.

And ultimately, disappointed.

This is the package, in all it's silver foil goodness, opening it, you find the following.

Opening it, you find, Noodles, a yellow package, an orange package with dehydrated veggies, a white package, and a red package with chili spice. The orange package wasn't used.

The yellow package was full of dry seasoning. Had kinda a bitter smell.

The white package had a mix of oil, kecap sweet soy, and onions.

And finally, chili spice. At this point, the mix had a iodine smell, kinda like a dirty hospital.

Mix in the noodles, which dry tasted like chinese restaurant chow mein noodles, and:

The iodine smell was very strong at this point.

And the taste.....

well.....

ummm......

Eww. Was kinda oily and nasty, hot rather than spicy, and generally icky. Not worth buying a second time.

If Mie Sedeap is #1 and Indomie is #2, this is #14.
