Amused.....

Earlier last month, I ordered for Little Bit's 4th birthday, the entire Thomas the Tank Engine Duplo line from Lego. (She likes Thomas, she likes Duplo, seemed appropriate.

Delivery was supposed to be before Oct 31st. It didn't show. This, of course, makes me fret, as her birthday is November 2nd.

Well, according to UPS's website, the shipment was rescheduled due to a shipping delay.

And what *was* this delay?? According to UPS's website:

"Oct 30, 2005, 2:30 P.M., VERNON, CA, US, A LATE TRAIN CAUSED THIS DELAY"

(Chuckle) Obviously a very naughty engine was causing confusion and delay. Sir Topham Hatt would *NOT* approve.....

They "rescheduled" my RAM delivery without explanation, though they did deliver it on the original due date later in the day, so I didn't call and ask for a shipping refund.

There's a lot of Best Buy stores in Chicagoland that were supposed to get City of Villains on Friday that didn't even have it Monday night. Fortunately, the second store I went to had exactly one left.

Oh no! Well, it'll at least make a good story to tell her.

(chuckle) Delivery is scheduled for later today. I'm just very amused by the reason.....

It was probably one of those dirty noisy Diesel engines that was late.

Not a proper thing for a Really Useful Engine to do, I fear. "Oh no! I'm late! Oh no! I'm late!" David said.

"We'll do Our Best! We'll do Our Best!" Gloria and Chrissy -- David's best boxcars -- said. "We'll try to make sure Little Bit gets her Duplos before bed!"

(chuckle) Can tell the parents on this thread, can't we? :-)

Actually, it looks like Brownie the UPS truck came though at the end, and Little Bit will have her present for her 4th birthday. :-)
