Today's abandoned Qatar
Today I decided to hit what looked like an abandoned auto shop or work yard near my work.

Here you can see the wood weave and frond style of roof that is very common in older Qatari buildings

This is an old work or vehicle yard I found in the Rayyan area east of Doha. Very typical mudbrick and concrete building, with the woven wood celings.

Window into building

Rusting Wheelbarrow

This wooden door has seen much better days

And so has this one

Doors into a office area. Very common design around here

Another set of doors.

This car was in the middle of the main courtyard. I think it's gonna be a long time before it's repaired....

This palm was just growing up amid the rubble. Which may say how long it's been idle

Graffiti inside one of the buildings

Window into another room. You see this a lot in older buildings, as they add on to them.

A feral cat that has made this a home

Said feral cat none too happy about this interloper into it's territory

Doorway. You can see the remains of the door. The heat and high humidity here just rips wood apart

A few weeks ago, this all was nothing but an abandoned series of apartments and the like. Not anymore. Those white buildings in the middle distance is where I work.
