How's this for extra credit??

Cypress Bay High School student builds a jet engine

""I just wanted something new to do," said Meyers, 17, of Weston.

What Meyers did was construct a 2-foot-long, 1-pound pulse jet engine. The pulse jet is a very simple form of internal combustion engine.

Meyers said pulse engines are extremely loud and inefficient. Their principal use came as flying bombs during the German bombing of London in World War II. The engine's loud droning noise earned it the nickname "buzz bomb.""

reminds me of high school :)
except all I did was umm... small explosives?
and a hover-UFO.

My brother tried to build one of these though. That's why he's now an electronics engineer...

Someone send that kid to NASA! Get those bastards back on track! Dammit, there's still some talent left in the gene pool to exploit, and we need a Kwizatz Haderach time now!
