Fun on eBay......

In November I bid for a game for PS2.

Never got here. I emailed the seller. And emailed again. And instituted eBay's system to handle such.

Since I paid with PayPal, I started that system as well. After 10 days, PayPal heard nothing back from the seller and refunded my money.

Then eBay contacted me, and the seller never responded to them either. As a result, I left the following message in the seller's feedback:

"Never delivered item, never returned email, ended with my money back from PayPal"

A check with his feedback shows that he's got a rep for ignoring emails and never sending products. Well, it also seems he's got a rep for being verbally offensive as well. Because I got the following back:

"A liar & thief hiding behind private f/b. Item was shipped & delivered. VERMIN."

All I can say to this is if you see an auction by "Videogameya". avoid. He's not worth the hassle.

While I only use half.com (due to lack of PayPal account), this is why I always read the feedback section before making a purchase.

At the time I ordered, it looked good. Since then, over 10% of his feedback has been negative.

Was he ballsy enough to leave negative feedback on you, not just a reply to your feedback? I've had good luck with eBay sellers, but guys like this are why I pay for everything via PayPal funded from an Amex card: eBay and Paypal may have conflicting interests, but Amex doesn't.

Yep, he was ballsy enough to leave me negative feedback. I simply replied "eBay & PayPal attempted to contact seller, no response. PayPal gave me a refund"

I made three attempts to get ahold of him. eBay made a couple attempts. PayPal waited 10 days and decided in my favour *after* they got no response from him. I would dare say he had ample opportunity to contact me and settle the problem.

*Shrug* The fact I got my money back is points in my favour. I figure it this way. Less than 1% of my feedback is negative. In the last month, over 10% of his feedback is negative. If he's having a bad time of things, then *work* with the customer. Don't just stonewall us.

Talk to the eBay team about the feedback he left. Given their attempts to contact him, they may decide to remove it as false feedback and put yet another black mark on his record (which he richly deserves). May even get his account suspended if he starts screaming at them. :)

I wonder if relizes that others are going to see his response and not order just from the wording of the response. Whiled it was not ture, It was very rude.

Bacially his typical response seems to be calling the person a thief and a liar. Even though you have a lot of people all saying the same thing,

His track record was good until about mid-december. I suspect he may want to check his shipper. He really NEEDS to check customer service, especially since he's shipping out of Japan and this kinda of rudeness doesn't fly there.

While your feedback is Private, clicking on your Private Feedback shows how many total feedback you got. Just not from whom. Yeah, report this guy for retaliatory neg feedback.

Same thing happened to me with a different seller. Everytime I emailed the seller using both his ebay and paypal email addresses, I CC'd them to myself and saved them just in case I needed them as proof. I documented everything I did, and still never heard from the seller. PayPal was able to reimburse most of the money I paid the seller, the person apparantly didn't have that much in his paypal account. I am now obsessed with making sure I read feedback.

I always check the feedback. In this case, a majority of the negative feedback he's recieved in the last six months has happened in the last six weeks, after I ordered. Woof.
