Wrong. Just wrong
Houston eyes cameras at apartment complexes
"Houston's police chief on Wednesday proposed placing surveillance cameras in apartment complexes, downtown streets, shopping malls and even private homes to fight crime during a shortage of police officers.
"I know a lot of people are concerned about Big Brother, but my response to that is, if you are not doing anything wrong, why should you worry about it?" Chief Harold Hurtt told reporters Wednesday at a regular briefing."

espically if it makes you think twice about commiting a crime.
And people who are having issues with crime should have them, if for no other reason than to protect thier property.
Remember, Big Brother is always watching, this is just more obvious than what our government does

Re: Don't see what;s wrong with it?
The article is either badly worded, or the chief didn't bother to clarify the "outside" of the home. Outside, while still annoying, isn't unreasonable as long as the property owner agrees to it and notices are posted.
Inside the home, which is what the article seems to imply, is another matter entirely.
Don't see what's wrong with it?
Re: Don't see what's wrong with it?
inside would never fly
I think people sould have cameras OUTSIDE thier homes
Re: Don't see what's wrong with it?
It looks like we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
Re: Don't see what's wrong with it?
you just dont see it
Its called Satellites
guess what they can see a blade of grass from space.
If the governement wants to watch you they can and will.
If they what to know what you are doing in your house, thats what the IR is for.
I would rather know about it than not

Like I said, we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Outside in public places and apartment complexes, with CCTV notices. Inside the residences, not a chance in hell.
I don't care if I have "nothing to worry about", I don't want the cops watching as I walk around the house, go to the bathroom, or cuddle up with my s/o inside my own residence.
Public areas, I can MAYBE see, but private homes?
