Weather...

Yesterday - hot

Today, overcast, chance of rain.

Have I mentioned I like Seattle's weather :-)

Actually what catches me off guard here is the sheer amount of beauty. Yesterday I took a turn in Queen Anne to go under 99 - and almost stopped the car I was so gobsmacked by how lovely it looked.

I can deal with green better than brown

You are not alone. I suspect it is the cause of a large number of "sun related"* car accidents up there.

(*when the sun comes out in Seattle after a long rain (which can go on for months in the Winter), the roads can become almost as hazardous as they do in San Diego after the first rain)

LOL!!! Almost true. I would have said "almost as hazardous as they do in San Diegeo during the first rain". Californians don't understand rain well and don't usually drive well when it starts to come down. But after the first hour, they start to recover their senses. :-)

I'd edit that to "Southern Californians don't understand rain". Us Northern Californians, (I'm originally from that end of the state) understand rain and fog quite well :-)
