Note that's tried to. Acid reflux was giving me heartburn bad enough I thought I was going to throw up, heartburn bad enough to make my jaw and neck ache.
Please, if this doesn't get better, see someone about this. I know you've been dealing with GERD for a long time, but I'm worried for you, your esophagus and your stomach. The last thing you need is an ulcer or Barrette's Esophagus. (It's not like you *need* pain, either).
