As mentioned last week....

This is the "Masonic Sweater Store" I saw in Speed Trap South Bend, Washington

The owner of this shop said it was a former Opera House. The mark above the door says that Opera wasn't the only use for this building.



Century old and very beautiful.

From photos I've seen, Masonic Hall/Opera House hybrids weren't at all uncommon. The second Masonic hall in Monrovia was in the upper story of the Opera House on Myrtle, and the hybrid photo I saw of it was from 1898.

Which would make perfect sense to me. (And matches what I heard about other small town lodges during this time period.

I just found it funny she mentioned the opera house aspect when the other aspect was rather obvious.
