I have TMJ on the right side of my jaw.

I must have slept weird last night because I have major joint pain on the LEFT side of the jaw right now. Major as in "can't chew without pain".

I took some ibuprofen about an hour and a half ago, but hurts like hell still.

I'm so sorry. TMJ sucks. I was misdiagnosed with TMJ which was actually Trigeminal Neuralgia induced by my IH, but damn did does it hurt. It reacts nearly identical to TMJ, so I understand what you're dealing with. Do you have any Flexeril or some other muscle relaxer? How about Sulindac or Clinoril? I hope you feel better soon. :(

Ow. I had that last year and it was horrible. I kept waking up in the middle of the night from the pain. Have you seen a dental specialist about it? (I'm guessing you have, because why else would you know the name.) Mine said to eat soft foods, avoid opening the mouth too wide and doing these weird little exercises. For 3 months!
