White Armor Blues
Yesterday had an armor workshop with the local 501st, to see what can be salvaged from the Stormtrooper armor I was given.
The original owner was 6'2". I'm 5'9". Obviously there's a problem with size, (yes, I AM a little short to be a stormtrooper. Deal)
The torso was pretty much okay. We cut the bottom "codpiece" off and made it an attached flexable piece so I could do things like sit and use the bathroom.
The legs and forearm pieces were cut down a bit so I had flexibility in my legs and arms.
The helmet needs to be regrilled with mest behind the "grin", and I ripped the foam out, planning to replace it with a hard hat suspension, plus a sound system.
The armor is pretty beat up. So, rather than do a major repaint, I'm going to touch up and use it for a "dirty" Sandtrooper costume. Which means trading for the palderon, ammo-pouches, and getting help on a backpack.
