Dispatches from Birtherstan - 24 February 2011

In today's dispatches, "Robin of Berkeley" makes a reappearance. Polland/Polarik has a another weird video. Professional seditionist Sharon Rondeau has a grumpy, as does anti-Semite Andy Martin. And Martin himself may be off the de Vattelist's holiday card list.

Putting this here, rather than the other place. Ya ever notice how they quote de Vattel, but haven't ever seemed to have read any of it?

http://www.lonang.com/exlibris/vattel/vatt-119.htm

Book 1, Chapter 19, 214: Naturalization. "Finally, there are states, as, for instance, England, where the single circumstance of being born in the country naturalizes the children of a foreigner."

Or, for instance, the United States specifically laid out in the 14th Amendment as well. Just sayin' they don't exactly know the book they're quoting from.

Well, they also overlook the parts of de Vattel where he talks about the right of a country to kidnap women to use as breeding stock.

Or the part where he talks about the rights of the crown.

Or the part where he says that weapon use and ownership should be restricted to the military and nobility.

Not to mention that the English translation they cite is from an edition published AFTER the Constitution was ratified.

You know, minor picky details.......
