J-List announced they have an opening for a shipping clerk at their San Diego office.

"Job description: PCR Distributing was founded to act as a U.S. distribution company for products of J-List (http://www.jlist.com), a Japan-based company. PCR has several main businesses, which are a) shipping of anime CD-ROM game orders to customers, b) printing Japanese T-shirts, and filling individual orders for T-shirts for J-List, c) filling wholesale orders for games and T-shirts to retailers, d) selling region-free DVD players, and e) assisting J-List at anime conventions, mostly in the summer. The job is for a shipping clerk who will fulfill orders that come in through the Internet as well as wholesale orders from shops. Other duties will include recieving and stocking inventory, ordering shipping supplies, and assisting at area anime conventions. Knowledge and interest in Japanese animation is a plus, and good Internet skills are also important. Required skills include: computer literacy (PC), ability to use email software, a detail-oriented mind, ability to lift a maximum of 60 lbs, a flexible personality and desire to learn. Knowledge of online shipping programs (stamps.com, UPS, etc.) is required.
Other requirements: You must have a valid CA drivers' license, since the job may entail driving to anime convention locations in San Diego and Los Angeles. You must be fluent in the English language with proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the English language. Sorry, but we are only considering applicants who are already in the San Diego area currently and who can easily commute to our office in the Clairemont Mesa area."
