I do not seem to have IM access at my flat. Yahell is iffy at best, AIM / iChat flat out won't connect. Adium won't either.

Assuming there's not some server outage affecting both Yahoo and AOL, I'm forced to conclude thet QTel is playing blocking games again. (they already block video and and audio on AIM/iChat, though I can still do video on Yahell.)

They seem to be working to me. Likely QTel playng games; I've seen you post enough oddball incidents that I wouldn't put it past them.

(chuckle) The joys of living in a country, (36 more days left!) with a single Telco & ISP. When Qtel decides to play games, you're basically SOL until they decide to fix it.

Last winter they were playing games with VoIP systems, and it took complaints from the US, UK, Indian, French, and other embassies to get them to stop it, because so many of their citizens living and working as expats here rely on VoIP systems to keep in touch with their families.

They work at work, but work is on a direct connect with New York and resolves as a New York IP. Which means it's more than likely QTel again

G-chat through my g-mail page gets me around the firewall at work - you may want to give that a shot. It's basic, but it's better than nothing :)
