Since I'm wrapping up my time in the Middle East, here's some new house shots.
These are from a couple houses in the Old Rayyan township west of Doha.
This is the interior of an abandoned house off of al-Luqta street, in the old Rayyan area of Doha.
The roof, showing the woven mat construction typical of older houses in this area
Exterior of house. Almost looks like US Southwest, doesn't it. The temp when I took this shot was 110 F. Woof.
This is a second house, somewhat newer construction, with concrete brick walls and roof.
Interior. You see the large windows designed to catch any breeze that's available.
Remains of the living room
I'm not sure what this room had been. ???
