....how many members of my family do I have to hit over the head with a two-by-four to get them to figure out that I'm not Gay. Poly, yes. Pagan, yes. Gay, no.

Come on. After hearing all my female friends bitch about their boyfriends at one point or another, why on earth would I want one????

I'm tolerant, soft-spoken, and it seems this equals Gay in my family's eyes. (sigh)

It's not the accusation itself that bothers me, it's that nobody had the courtesy to *ASK* me.

hey uncle patgund......
What exactly is poly? I don't understand.
What does it mean to be Pagan?
Again I defend the family by saying
People make impressions based upon the information they know about the people the are unfamilar with. It's human nature. I bet by meeting me you might think I am short and funny and smart and awesome. Which I am. but you may never know that. I wasn't your first neice, but I was your second. Cut me some slack. I was wrong to think you were gay. I didnt know. I Love You.

Poly - Well I posted a description, but in a nutshell, Poly is short for Polyamory, which is defined as the ability to have loving romantic relationships with more than one other person at the same time. Said relationships may or may not be sexual in nature. While currently I have only one partner, (which may or may not change, depending on if I find the right woman), my s/o, Camin, has two partners, myself and one other (who lives in Floridia, though we're hoping to change that soon.)

Pagan - That's my religious beliefs. By Pagan, I mean I worship a Goddess and a God, or more than one Goddess or God. I'm a Celtic Pagan, by which I mean I follow the beliefs and ethics of the ancient Celts. Ethically, my morals are summed up as:

Everything one does returns to one threefold. If one does good, good returns to them. If one does evil, evil follows back to them.
Do no harm. Or if not possible, as little harm as possible.
The person ultimately responsible for one's actions is oneself.

Last time I checked, you were short and funny and smart and awesome. :-) However, you weren't the reason that set me off this time. I heard that rumor about my sexuality from someone *else* in the family, not you this time. So trust me, it wasn't aimed towards you.

Love you too.
