Clearly the author didn't study history close enough... Julius Ceasar was betrayed by one of those closest to him; does he really think it would be any different for "President-for-Life Bush"?
Aside from the fact that the majority (if not all) of the military would flat out refuse to follow such an order, and may even help in arresting any President who tried such an ill-advised maneuver.
