I hate to ask, but I'm at wits end. And I can't afford to lose any more work, even with a doctor's note.
In July I came down with what they thought was strep throat. In August, same thing. While I was in vacation and WorldCon, simular symptoms.
In September, I went back to various doctors offices every single Tuesday for three weeks. First, I was diagnosed as having GERD, (basically the acid reflux from hell). Then they found further problems with my throat and tonsils. Finally, they found I had a nasty sinus infection in my left sinuses and placed me on antibiotics.
I started to feel better. For about a week. I finished the antibiotics. Then started getting the sore throat and swollen tonsils again, (this time only the right tonsil). Also pain and pressure in my right ear.
When I woke up Monday, my temperature was 102.5 Went back to the doctor, who found I had a peri-tonsilar abcess, with an infection in the right sinuses and ear. Now on even stronger antibiotics, it hurts like blazes to swollow because of the horribly swollen tonsil, and my temperature this morning was 100.4, forcing me to stay home yet another day.
At this point, I'm tired of being sick, and I can't miss much more work, (I'm out of sick days, and this is now unpaid time off.) Any energy you can send me to get over this and actually be healed of all these illnesses and get me back to being healthy again would be greatly welcome and appreciated.
