Interesting
Apr. 19th, 2004 01:24 pmWell, they've opened up a Jolibee in Mira Mesa, within driving distance of my work. Was looking over the flyer of stuff this Filipino Fast-Food chain sells.
Just what the heck is Palabok anyway??? The flyer shows this gray-brown mass with gray shrimp and what almost looks like millet. The only dashes of colour is peas, white rice, and yellow hard-boiled eggs.
Scary thing is that the burgers look good.

Comic Book Feeding time
Apr. 19th, 2004 03:20 pmSince I haven't had a chance to stop by my friendly neighborhood comic book store. Haven't read any of them yet, but...
Issue #8 of 1602 was a must, While I'm sorry to see this series go, I look forward to reading it's ending. Was a fun romp into an Elizabethian version of the Marvelverse.
Also in my loot sack was Nodwick #24 and PS238 #6 I've pretty much given up on "Dork Tower" Wake me when it becomes interesting again.

"Britons Go 'Toothing' for Hi-Tech Sex with Strangers"
""Toothing" is a new craze where strangers on trains, buses, in bars and even supermarkets hook up for illicit meetings using messages sent via the latest in phone technology.
"Toothing is a form of anonymous sex with strangers -- usually on some form of transport or enclosed area such as a conference or training seminar," says the "Beginner's Guide To Toothing" on a Web site dedicated to the pursuit.
It is made possible by Bluetooth technology which allows users to send phone contacts, pictures and messages to other Bluetooth-enabled equipment over a range of about 10 meters"
