Shall we play a game, Comrade??
Jul. 13th, 2004 02:36 pmThe BBC has a rather interesting article on an old East German video game called "Poly Play". Basically several games in one cabinet, using a combination of Soviet computer technology and East German craftmanship.
Fancy a game, comrade?
And, for those of you interested in playing this relic, there are actual *legal* ROM images for MAME. (Well nobody knows who owns the copyrights since East Germany no longer exists.)
Games included a skiing game, a racing game, and a PacMan clone, among others. (Hmmm....I'd figure a Soviet Bloc PacMan clone would have you joining up with your comrades, (ghosts) to defeat the nasty capitalistic PacMan.....)
