Yesterday I found out that "Serenity" had made it into the main English-language theatre here in Doha. Since I had just about given up the chance of this movie hitting this part of the 'verse, I went with a friend from the Bujold list who had never seen "Firefly".

While good on the DVD I got, it was damn shiny on the big screen. I may be one of the only Browncoats to have seen it *first* on DVD, and *then* in the theatre.

Two notes. Arabic subtitles on the sceen, and some minor censoring by the gorram local editors.

My friend thought it was pretty shiny as well. I suspect he's going to break out the Firefly DVD's he got in the UK this weekend.
