My cell phone broke a day ago, so I went to the Sprint Store on tuesday to get a new phone.

I asked them several times "I use my phone as a USB modem, can this phone be used as such and is it OS X compatible?"

Settled on a Sanyo MM-7500. Came complete with USB data cable.

Turns out you have to download the software to use it as a USB modem, (my previous Samsung was a plug and play). And the software is Windows-only.

Which means this thing is USELESS for my needs.

NOT a happy gund

New Samsung A920 PCS phone.

And it works as a modem for my OS X laptop, in either USB and Bluetooth.
