Maybe it's having spent almost a year living way too close to KSA. Or a week coughing most of it out of my lungs and sweeping it off the floors. But I really can't see Saudi Arabia as a tourist destination....diving and sandstone cities included.

"Tours by groups of both sexes will be allowed - as long as a father or brother is with any single women under 40. Visitors must follow local customs, and a booklet printed in several languages will be distributed to tourists instructing them on Saudi's strict social traditions.

"The tourists must comply with the social conducts of the kingdom, to know what's allowed and what's not allowed, what to wear and what not to wear," said Saad al-Kadi, adviser to Prince Sultan.

All female tourists will be required to dress according to Saudi tradition: covered from head to toe with only their face, hands and feet exposed. And in the most conservative city, the capital, Riyadh, women must wear a black robe over their clothes."

Toxic Waste Recipe of the Day

Today, we're going to combine two of my personal least favourite foods together into one gastronomical obsenity.

And we're going to make it a casserole to boot

To make up for the vile Spam / Lima Bean casserole recipe...

Crispy Spicy Chicken
1 chicken breast, sliced into strips
2 tbsp cornflour
1 egg
green pepper, sliced
1 tbsp green/red chilli
2 tbsp Thai sweet chilli sauce
1 tbsp sweet & sour sauce
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Serves 2 People

Beat the egg, coat the chicken in it, then dip the chicken in the cornflour.
Shake off excess then deep fry on high heat (180 degrees centigrade) for 3-4 minutes.
Drain and put to one side.
In a wok, fry onion, pepper and carrot in vegetable oil for 2 minutes.
Add chilli and stir for 30 seconds, add chicken, Thai sweet chilli sauce and sweet & sour sauce, stir and serve with boiled rice.
