Westercon question
Apr. 8th, 2012 10:57 pmSo whom among the people reading this, plans to go to Westercon 65 in Seattle on 5-8 July??
The reason I'm asking is that it seems the people running it have really done a horrid job marketing it (example, the table they had at Norwescon was shared with the Spokane World Con bid, only a few bits of information, and wasn't staffed half the times I walked by). The website is curiously uninformative, and simple questions (like how much childrens memberships cost) went unanswered in email.
I will note however that after I mentioned to the person behind the table that there was no youth membership rate listed, the information appeared on the website within 24 hours. So bonus points for correcting this one.
Still, unless friends from out of town or out of state plan to attend, I really don't see much point to going.
