Okay, that wasn't *that* bad....
Dec. 3rd, 2003 10:50 pmWatched the one hour commercial documentary that Sci-Lie channel did for their new "Battlestar Galactica" series. Interesting take on the concept, much darker, a bit more daring. (though the sexy female cylon is a "eh" concept. Wondering if she was thrown in just so the male fanboys can fantisize about her stripping naked and going "by your command" to them.......)
(Let me apologize for that mental image)
There was a cute scene of Starbuck, (Dirk Benedict) with Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff. who plays Starbuck in the new series), at Starbucks.
Problem I have is that my TV SF meterstick is way too high. "Babylon 5" spoiled me. It's going to take a lot to activate my "wow" factor again.
At this point, I'm willing to state that it should be better than "Galactica 1980" was. Which is damming with almost no praise, granted. However, the original series had its weak spots as well, so we'll see.
Worse comes to worse, it's only four hours over two days......
