What IS it with drawing cows described as male with udders? There's a Nickleodeon bit on one of the Blues Clues tapes, too. Annoys me, probably because of my current "job". If that's their artistic "thing", oh well, but I figure it's ignorance.
I followed the links and saw the Meatrix thing. Humane treatment of animals, yes - but links to organizations promoting farm animals as sentient? I don't think so.
