Heck, Ive been knitting, and crocheting, since something like 6th grade. I used to knit a lot while watching TV (I can knit without looking if the pattern isn't too complex).
My biggest problem these days is, it's hard to find time to knit when you spend most of your "free" time with your hands on a keyboard/mouse. The little bit of TV I watch is mostly "Alias," and that's not a show you can afford to look away from or you miss something that'll be an important plot point later :-).
yes, well, middle aged suburban Americans like it, too. And some of us have been playing with string for a loooong time... ah well. I suppose I can live with people thinking I'm doing it to be trendy. Like to see these trendy types make a decent sock.
(Heck, I'd like to see me have time to make a decent sock again soon. Been working on Maggie's dress and presents for Brendan's Sunday teacher with what little spare time I get.)
