Okay, Blogspot seems to have had an outage. Several sites got flagged as spam. These things happen....

Except in PUMAland, where everything is usually happy shiny ponies and sunshine, and all bad things are the result of satan incarnate, Barack Obama.

For example, according to this New York Times article called "Google and the Anti-Obama Bloggers"

The bloggers in question, most of them supporters of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and all of them opposed to Senator Obama, received a notice from Google last week saying that their sites had been identified as potential “spam” blogs. “You will not be able to publish posts to your blog until we review your site and confirm that it is not a spam blog,” the Google e-mail read.

Many of the bloggers were affiliated with JustSayNoDeal.com, a Web site that opposes Senator Obama. They include http://bluelyon.blogspot.com, http://comealongway.blogspot.com, http://hillaryorbust.blogspot.com and http://mccaindemocrats.blogspot.com.

In an article that appeared on Bloggasm.com, the reporter Simon Owens spoke with some of the affected bloggers, who said they believed that Google had fallen prey to a campaign by activists supporting Senator Obama. According to the bloggers, the Obama supporters had clicked on a “flag” on the anti-Obama blogs alerting Google that they were spam.

Notice that "blogspot.com" thing.

So I took at look at the "OMG Teh Evol Obama Hackerz iz takin down r cites!" thing. And notice something interesting.......

Non-PUMA sites also got hit by it as well. INCLUDING some Pro-Obama sites. Like Instaputz, If I Ran The Zoo, Alicu, A Quiet Corner of Sanity, and Roger Ailes (thanks to Rumproast for some of the links.)

All pro-Obama, and all hit with the same Blogspot problem.

Also several conservative Blogspot sites got it.

So guess what. It's not "Obama's evol L33T Hackerz". It's a blogspot screwup that effected a whole lot of sites, both political AND non-political. For example these poor sites ALSO got nailed, and all of them are non-political.

Now I mentioned in an earlier post about how rumours start in the PUMA Echo Chamber. This is a great example. A problem that affected a lot of sites on a lot of subjects - but only PUMA seems to be able to turn it into a "Oh, woe is me" pity party and somehow blame this on Sen. Obama. This is very much akin to the "400 paid bloggers" myth - only far easier to disprove.

What IS it anyway about PUMA and their followers that they see everything as somehow they're being attacked and martyred for their cause.

Newsflash, the only people martyring you people are yourselves. Drop the traveling angst show already.
