patgundWhile I was out in Texas, I picked up a batch of free newspapers and other such things, both out of curiousity and amusement.
A couple of them were the various nighttime entertainment papers. Which I took one look at and went "whoa!"
Now, I've been escort ads before. The ones in San Diego tend to be rather tame and mellow, I was startled by the semi-nude and nude ones I found in Las Vegas, (walk down the strip and you tend to get a lot of these handed to you), for "private nude dancing" and "hotel room modeling". It's obvious what services they're really offering, but they're trying to make it look somewhat hands-off.
The Dallas/Ft. Worth area ads were a *lot* more racy it seemed. Matter of fact, it looked like that, as long as one didn't actually *use* the word "prostitute" in their ad, they were okay. When you have ads for people who claim to be "great kissers", or asking you to "explore your desires with their body", the impression is not private dancing - unless you're talking the horizontal mambo. And considering they were alongside ads for Nevada cathouses, well, let's just say that added to the impression.
And pretty much most adult fetishes were represented - up to and including "pregnant and/or lactating escorts" Not to mention a whole batch of ads for various local swinger magazines.

(and no, I didn't call any of them. I'm nowhere near that desperate.)
