You know, I think I'm just going to stop actually mentioning when I get stood up from a date. Instead, I think I'll mention those far more rare times, (like, oh, none in the last year and a bloody half), where someone actually meets me for a date like they bloody promised.

Then again, maybe not. The shock of them actually showing might send me to hospital with a heart attack.

I'm really quite bitter at the moment. And massively feeling like a gargoyle. Mostly just bitter and discouraged.

May radioactive haggises fall from orbit upon the heads of those who have stood you up! *big hugs* Loneliness is sucky and horrible, and those who get your hopes up and then let you down are deserving of a big ass smiting. Hang in there. Do not let despair completely eat your soul. Good things will eventually happen. You will meet someone to date who will treat you with compassion and respect. Dr. Idiot Boss will become visible incontinent in front of the entire Institute administration plus visiting Principal Investigators from other research facilities. Do not lose hope!
