Well, there was a glitch, namely that the movies I had bought for the night, (Vampyres, Devils Rain, and Barn of the Blood Llamas) didn't arrive in time for Saturday. Grumble. However, I was able to improvise with my collection of old school cartoons and vintage sex ed videos. :-) Not to mention "Happy Tree Friends", which I had volume 1 of. Volume 2 is now on order, so everyone can get their fix of cute, cuddly little cartoon characters getting horribly abused.

I think I have an addition to the list of bad movies for the next ones though - "Pulgasari", North Korea's rip-off of "Godzilla". With a backstory that may be better than the movie.

"Pulgasari" is a cheesy monster movie made by Kim Jong Il as North Korean propaganda. Kim, in addition to ruling his country with an iron fist, is also a known movie buff. (Before he rose to his father's position, he wrote the guides that all North Korean film makers must use.) Pulgasari was produced by North Korean film makers with help of the same Japanese team that did "Godzilla 1985". In addition, it was directed by South Korean director of Pulgasari, Shin Sang-ok, who had been kidnapped in the late 1970s and held for several years to make movies for Kiml. He and his life later managed to escape and were granted asyum in the US.

Stomptokyo.com has a pretty good review of it.
