The comparison is a bit contrived, in my viewpoint. Still, the comparison of being in a minority religion vs using a minority computer system, is an interesting one to think on and debate. (Mind you, this is coming from a Pagan who uses Macintoshes, so I may be able to see the simularities she comments on - as well as the areas the arguement is reaching a bit.)

What do Macs and Islam have in common?

"The choice to use a Mac or to be Muslim in today's world is not easily understood. In a world where the vast majority of computers are PC, where Islam is perceived as the enemy, why would someone choose to be a Mac user or a Muslim? Bias against both is rampant. Those who we rely on to educate us -- the media -- are themselves neither Muslim nor Mac users. Outright untruths are widely subscribed to. Muslims and Mac users are described as cult members, when, clearly, we are not. "

Like I said, I think the comparison is a bit contrived, but it's still interesting

Last I heard Mac users weren't planning a Jihad. (I know neither are most Muslims.)

Where does it say in the operating manual, "Thou shalt fill a Mac Classic with C4 strap it to your chest and hug a PC user."?

As much as I enjoy being a Muslim, I certainly don't expect everyone I know to become Muslim

If that was universal among Muslims we wouldn't be at war now. And I've never known Mac users to write viruses to infect PCs and erase their hard drives.

Ha. Ever listen to an AMIGA maniac? There are a few of those left. Now that's a jihad.

(Thinks about my old A4000 / 040 in storage, and some of the Amiga fans he still knows, and decides not to go anywhere *NEAR* this one..... :-)
