Debating.....

Okay, there's a lot of if's in this idea, mainly to do with my knee and the fact it's getting worse and worse. However, this may be a good idea.

Saturday, June 26th is day two of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Buena Park. The reason I'm debating going is that the Orange County chapter of "Fan Force", which is an umbrella organization of various Star Wars clubs, has asked the LA and San Diego groups to join with them in their walk. (There's talk of doing an evening show with EL-based light sabers as per the organizers requests. Seems this was a hit last year.)

Just trying to decide if I want to do this walk too.

Well dollink, you have almost two weeds between now and then. Do you think you can fit in an orthopedist appointment in that time? Your continued mobility is more important than one particular walking event.

(nods) Granted, and a lot of it will depend on what the orthopedist says, (I should have an appointment by then.

I'm trying to preserve what mobility I have left for ComicCon. I've been joking I need to find a black and silver cane to go with my TIE pilot costume. Anyone asks, I'll say it's a injury from a battle with rebel scum.....

Of cource, that won't work if I'm in my Jedi robes..... (grin)

After ComicCon, it depends on what they have to say and how bad the knee really is. I doubt that, should I be at Fall Potrero, that working battlefield will be an option unless I see some massive and quick recovery from whatever-the-hell-this-is. But I think I did a good job with 12 hours at point + 3 on call a few weeks ago.

Has it occured to you that you could be a bit of supporting cast, a volunteer? It allows you to do a part, and also is less likely to fubar your knee as much as the walk would.
