Fried Oreo Cookies 

Ingredients:

2 eggs -- beaten

1/2 cup milk

2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 cup cooking oil

Instructions:

Instructions: In a bowl, combine eggs and milk. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture and beat with electric mixer until smooth. (Check to see if mixture flows easily).

Dip Oreos into mixture and deep fry at 360 degrees until batter is golden (about 3 minutes) turn and fry about 1 min more.

Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

(Nods) Agreed. The Del Mar County Fair has them with the vendors. I can't say I'm willing to try them. :-p

Sounds Scottish to me. Those people will deep-fry anything sweet nowadays. Use'ta was it was Scotch Eggs... after the Deep Fried Mars Bars, now anything goes.

Deep Fried Salmon Eggs did not work out well. Trust me on this one.

I've seen them at outdoor craft shows, haven't had the guts to try one yet. Don't think I will. I like oreos way too much. Double stuffs in particular. Oooooh. I can feel my arteries clogging just thinking about them.
