Saw this rant on both
blackthornglade's LJ and in
templeofthecat.
Wiccan Bling Bling
Of course, the fact he's calling himself "Obsidian" kinda gives it a "pot, meet kettle" feel....
Still, I've had a long-standing rant against those in the Pagan community that call themselves something like "Lady Morgaine Fluffytit Moonbunny of the Grove of Fuzzy White Care Bears", wear 20-40 kg of celtic knotwork jewelry, and top it off with a pentagram the size of a VW hubcap. It's nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Date: 2004-06-29 10:29 am (UTC)Lots of people have odd net nicknames. I go by "karmakaze", "incognita" and various other weird handles. So, "Obsidian" really doesn't trigger too much contempt in me - unless he makes people call him that in person. Then it becomes lame.
