I could wish I had that energy......
Aug. 16th, 2004 10:43 amSaturday saw myself, Little bit, her mum, and
ckgriffin spending the afternoon together, first for lunch at Rubys in Mission Valley, (and you should have seen Little Bit's face light up when she saw her "auntie"), and then to Balboa Park.
Now, Little Bit likes going to a park, but she's never been in a large urban park like Balboa. We parked near the zoo, and then walked over to the mini train near Spanish Village, where she went for a ride on it with her auntie. Little Bit was sad when she got off the train, and was saying "bye-bye train" when she saw it. This ended when she saw the merry-go-around, (or, as she calls it, a "roundaround"). She got to ride that one with her da.
The fountain next to the Fleet Space Centre was good for an almost completely soaked but happy Little Bit. After a change of clothes, (and a change of a diaper that was testing it's water limits - I suspect 10% of the fountain was soaked up by the silica gel in the diaper), Little Bit found a street entertainer blowing bubbles - and spent a while chasing them calling out "come back here bubble, come back here!". Then a walk down to the arbor, where she tossed pennies in the fountains, and back up to Spanish Villiage. She got to ride the train twice more, and spent an hour chasing around with a 3 year old and a 20 month old. Large amounts of fun.
She was asleep in her car seat almost before we left the parking lot. :-)
After bidding ckgriffin good night, we went back to the motel that C and Little Bit were staying at, where Little Bit got to spend some time swimming around in the pool, (she's gotten to the point she'll jump out to a parent from the edge, and she knows how to handwalk herself along the edge of the pool until she can climb out.)

ismarc and
blackflag669's going away party to wish them safe journey.
Pretty much a fun day.
