Back again

When someone shows strep-like symptoms on and off and heavy antibiotics can't seem to get rid off it, it's usually a sign of something else. Add to that the horrible problems I've had with indigestion lately, and it looks like I may have GERD, or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disorder.
In simple terms, my stomach produces way too much acid, and it irritates the valve between the stomach and the esophagus, causing the acid to back up into the esophagus, where can cause heartburn and other fun stuff. Also, the acid can irritate and inflame the tonsils, and back up into the lungs, causing pain and mucus production. (plus, I have asthma, and the acid can bring on horrible asthma attacks.)
I'm on Clarinex for two weeks, and Protonix for 4 weeks. Clarinex is to help break up the mucus in my lungs and sinuses, (it's an antihistimine), and the Protonix to help reduce the acid and heal the damage from the acid.
Large amounts of no fun
