Just got a call from the company in Vancouver that wants to interview me saturday and sunday.

They wanted to let me know that the person interviewing me has changed, and they only want to see me on saturday instead. They also said that, since it's too late to cancel or reschedule the flight or hotel that was booked for me, I'm still welcome to stay up there sunday and monday, but hinted I may want to "explore other options" while up there.

Bother. I'm suddenly feeling like they are saying "we're not interested in you after all, or have hired someone else, but since it's too late to cancel the flight or hotel we got for you, we'll go though the motions anyway".

We'll see. My bullshit meter pegged on this phone call.

I'd have to kind of agree with you on this one. It sounds like they want to do one interview and keep info on file, but probably found someone for the primary position they were thinking of. But as you said in your other post, what the heck, it's a free trip to BC. Enjoy your trip.

(nods) Yep. I'll still bring my interview stuff though. Practice interview if nothing else. And a chance of scenery may do me good. Still a bother though.
