The article also commens that Sen. Rick Santorum (R- Pennsylvania) is also trying to use this to talk down the National Weather Service again. Sen. Santorum has been trying to push a bill that would require it to surrender some of its duties to private businesses, some of them located in his state, (like AccuWeather, a Santorum campaign donor). This goes against the rave reviews that another GOP lawmaker, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), has given NWS.

Feh. Just feh.
