I didn't know up until today that Jerry Doyle had gone the radio talk show host route.

On one hand, I don't really think the US needs yet another right wing radio talk show. On the other hand, he seems a bit smarter and less shrill than many in that group.

(Chuckle) Mayhaps. But given a choice between listing to Jerry Doyle, and the likes of Michael Savage, "Dr." Laura, and the like, I'd rather listen to Jerry Doyle. He might be a right winger, but at least he seems (based on panels at Comic Con and JMS's reports) willing to at least *listen* to others, even if he disagrees with them.

And the fact he's now an independent because he feels the GOP has gotten taken over by the religious right and neocons, is a major plus in his favour.

(Evil Grin) Hell, imagine a debate between Jerry Doyle and Ed Schultz. I'd pay money to see that.

He subbed for Laura Schlesinger one day several months ago, so I wrote the local station and said "Fire Laura and get Jerry on more often!"

Sadly, he still isn't picked up by any San Diego radio stations yet.

OMG, scratch that... I just checked his website and it looks like KFMB 760am has picked up his evening broadcast 7-10pm weekdays!
