Unhappy.....

The special election in California is today, (tuesday, 8 Nov. 2005) The first week I was in Qatar, I filled out and sent an absentee voter request form and registration.

As of this day, I still have not recieved a ballot. Which means this is the first election since I was 18 that I missed.

This does NOT make me happy at all.

Get thee to the California Secretary of State's web page and tell them. This is exactly the sort of thing they need to know!

I just realized a little while ago that what we got were regular sample ballots, not absentee ballots. And we both applied for permanent absentee status before last November's election. I don't think we missed anything in between to loose our status.

I didn't notice before now because we usually drop our ballots at the polling place on election day. But, yeah, we'll be complaining! And asking for paper ballots when we go vote after Roland gets home.
