Gakked off of [livejournal.com profile] arwyn_jinn's LJ This was a video clip from the US show "Trading Spouses". Being religious is one thing. Being psychotic is quite another. And I suspect the woman in question has pole-vaulted over that line...... http://www.big-boys.com/articles/tradingspouses.html This is a woman that needs TLC......Thorazine, Lorazepam and Compazine.......

Thankee. I try to make for the laughter and grinning :D

"Oh my Dog" is what's often used on a pet forum I hang out in, partly to not offend (as much) some of the more devout users in there. I felt it was appropriate for the posted clip.

I then saw the episode it was excerpted from. She kept the money, after all, since $20K was earmarked for her own gastric bypass surgery. I wonder if that means it will be a tainted bypass?

Gastric by pass => taint by way of manipulating her stomach, which affects other, related organs.

It's tainted all right, in the sense that she'll have to look at the results every morning. Wow. Too subtle for her to get, though.

I watched the first part of the two parter. It was laughably funny. She is actually quite proud to be close-minded. When the pagan family's dryer started making funny noises (the family said it does it all of the time), she started having "bad feelings about this" and spent the next twenty or so minutes up chucking in the garden. And when they had a Solstice celebration? She totally freaked out. The second part airs some time this week (thanks to TiVo, I don't know when), and this part should contain the major meltdown that was probably the clip you saw. I'm looking forward to it.

JOhn.

She needs a bit more than TLC..... how about a brain transplant?

As for over the line...She is so far past the line.

She needs some serious help

"Disturbing" is not nearly strong enough to describe this. "Horrifying", maybe. People like this make me start questioning my religious beliefs by association.

Makes me wonder why both the pagan family and this lady signed up for this. You're telling me neither side had any idea going into it...?

I can't imagine why ANY family would do anything like that. Hand your family over to a total stranger? You couldn't pay me enough money to do that.

I don't watch the show, (well, can't, since it's not on a satellite here), so I can't say what the families expected or not.
