I don't recall Space Mountain ever having such a cheesy soundtrack, and I went the year it opened. Did they re-do it in the last few years? And if so, why are they calling the new version "classic"?
The soundtrack, (which personally I *adore*), was added in the 1990's revamp of Space Mountain.
I understand they have a new soundtrack for the new version of Space Mountain, (the ride was completely gutted and rebuilt over the last couple years, reopening a few months ago.
That's odd. I know I went on SM in Feb. '99 (it was our first anniversary), and I don't recall that music. Maybe I just shut it out and listened to the mechanism and the screaming :-).
