Just finished watching a DVD of "Serenity"

Comments later, but I would like to take this oportunity to express my deepest, most heartfelt desire, to kick Joss Whedon very, very, very hard right in the crotch.

Somebody made a "Curse Joss's sudden yet inevitable betrayal!" icon you might like.

Appropriate. Very appropriate

Hope you don't mind. I stole the icon.

I think there's a Lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ng line to get at Mr. Whedon.

I wonder when someone is going to create a "Joss Whedon, you are bound by law....." shirt.

Yeah, but you gotta admit it was a great flick. Even despite that certain... unpleasantness.

JOhn.

Ya know, it had to happen eventually. He's done it in ALL of his other series. Why should the movie be different?..

Actually I would have to say that I would like to kick him there too...that ending was brutal.

The ending was a bit of a kick in the balls.

Speaking of the ending: A note from a friend more educated in Asian traditions than I: in the funeral scene, Kaylee was wearing a necklace which read "Double Happiness" in Chinese. This is apparently a wedding necklace. Looks as if Simon made an honest woman of her!

Fox has the rights tied up for ten years, so that about wraps it up for my hope that Sci-Fi Network would pick it up and do new episodes as it had for other series [Andromeda, Stargate SG-1].

Well, Simon isn't battery-powered now, is he? (g,d,r.....)

As for Faux and their stupidity, I suspect wouldn't rule out either mini-series or direct-to-video sales though. The question I would have if Fox's broadcast rights extends to cable. Or, alternately, how much $$ Faux would want to have SciFi or such buy out those rights, (which SciFi *has* done in the past)
