Star Trek is 'most missed' series (BBC News)

Sci-fi series Star Trek is the show most people want to see returned to their TV screens, a survey has found.

The article then goes on to list the ten most missed shows in the UK, 6 of which are SF/Fantasy/Horror in nature:

1. Star Trek
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
3. Friends
4. Fawlty Towers
5. Blake's 7
6. The X-Files
7. Babylon 5
8. Stargate
9. Seinfeld
10. The A-Team

Stargate is still in production, last I heard. Both of them. Sheesh, they must really be lagging behind.

I think THE scariest points there are that A-Team counts as SF/Fant/Horror AND that it made the top 10!

Masculine wish-fulfillment fantasy? The presence of "Starbuck" [and retroactively, Lt. Barkley] probably helped. Mr. T as the obvious Alien. Yah, it fits. [grin]

Waitaminute, that's not right. The genre shows would be Trek, Buffy, Blake's 7, X-Files, B5 and Stargate. That's six right there.

I never had much use for the show "Friends." I need a TV show to have quirky friends who make witty conversation to sit on my couch every week? I Think Not. Present Company Included and I'm pleased to have it so.
