I stumbled across what may have been a farm or such along the northwest coast of Qatar while driving today.

This looks like an abandoned housing complex along Qatar's northeast coast. Maybe a farm for an extended family. Most of the houses are mudbrick construction, all are one or two rooms. Some had the remains of indoor plumbing, maybe bath/toilet buildings. Mostly woven frond & reed roofs with a thin support mesh of wood.

This looked like a main building of sorts.

Inside the theoretical main building

More of the 1-2 room buildings. Extended family I suspect. I think it a farm, since it's too far from the shore to be fisherfolk.

Graffitti inside one of the houses

Shed with the remains of a wheelbarrow

Fairly large 4 room building.

More buildings off in the distance

More of the 1 and 2 room buildings

This looked like it was a group kitchen.

You can see the stonework on this one

Another mud brick and stone building

This was in the middle of looked like a garden. The foundation had drainage channels and what looked like an old well pit. Bathhouse?

The abandoned pump for the well.
