I tried some frozen Tandori Chicken tonight.

Supposely it was chicken, corn oil, paprika, and red pepper. I suspect metal as well, because it had a metallic taste, like I was chewing on indian-spiced tinfoil

There's something in (some) Indian spicing that tastes very metallic to me, too. I'm not sure what it is, but I got a sort of rice-cracker snack mix at an Indian store once, and had a hard time finishing it (didn't want to waste it, see) because of that seasoning.

Not sure what it actually is, though. Any ideas?

One thing you may want to check is how they washed the chicken.
Many times, large mineral deposits are present in water supplies. So, when the chicken is washed, the mineral deposits will get on the chicken.
I'm not sure if this is the case, just it is a food for thought...
^_^

I wish you better tandori chicken ^_^
