Interesting concept - a children's book explaining what marijuana is, what it's used for, and why adults, (they're very careful to point out that it's an adult thing and not for kids), may or may not smoke it.

Kinda like some of the children's books on sex - the ones that are very matter of fact about things at any rate.

I can see where some people may get VERY offended by the very idea of this book, and where other people may actually want to use this book as a way to discuss the subject with their children. In either case, I can see where this may be valuable as an educational resource - on either side of the arguement.

I read it all. I think it's a little "young" for my niece and nephew although the art sure is pretty. Also, while my brother and his wife were delighted to get all the pro-gay childrens' books I've sent over the years (Asha's Mums, One Dad Two Dads, Brown Dad Blue Dads) I don't know if this would be as well received. I will give my sister in law the link and let her decide.

I actually thought it was really interesting; however, my sister's in mediation with her ex over custody of the kids at the moment and I don't think sending her a copy would be a wise idea.

(nods) Yeah, I could see where the very presense of this book would make problems with some over zelous CPS agent, even if the parents *weren't* doing anything
